A 13-year-old boy and student of Victory College, Ikare, Akoko, Ondo State has been allegedly beaten with injury at his back by the school principal with the help of an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC.
An Ondo State based blogger, known as Ogbeni OB Sugar raised the alarm on Tuesday on his Facebook page.
He said, “My attention was drawn to this report some minutes ago and according to the report, which read thus; “this is how a 13-year-old boy was flogged yesterday, 3rd March 2025, by the NSCDC through a principal in a public school at Victory College, Ikare, Akoko, Ondo State”.
“This happened just because the boy accidentally injured his classmate while they were playing with a plastic water bottle”.
“The boy was bailed from the NSCDC office at Ikare Command for ₦3,000, yet the principal is still demanding another ₦10,000 from his mother, claiming it is for the government”.
“Concerned authorities should please intervene in this matter”.
“Dear Nscdc Ondo Command Ondo NSCDC PRO Femi-Daniels Aidamenbor, your attention and swift intervention is needed.“
A few hours later, He posted again saying, “Dear Ondo NSCDC PRO Femi-Daniels Aidamenbor, thanks for your quick intervention.
“Dear Friends, the matter has gotten to the table of the Ondo NSCDC commandant and he totally frowned at it, as he had already called for a thorough investigation into the matter and the officer(s) involved should face the necessary disciplinary action accordingly.“
