••• As Olawande presents Documents on proposed Nigeria Youth Academy to Tinubu
The Federal government on Thursday again restated its commitment towards paying N77,000 new Allowance for Corps Members serving across the country, saying the payment is nonnegotiable.
The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande stated this shortly after he presented the efforts, achievements, and future work plan of the Ministry of Youth Development to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
Olawande also presented documents on the proposed Nigeria Youth Academy to President Bola Tinubu in his office at the State House, Abuja.
Reacting to the agitations of some Nigerians on his Facebook page, over the delay in the payment of the new monthly Allowance to Corps Members, Olawande said the budget provision for the payment had been approved.
He said, “77,000 of corp member is non negotiable and we are already done with it because the budget have be signed.”
Speaking on the work plan of the ministry as presented to the President, the minister said, “Today, I had the pleasure of presenting the efforts, achievements, and future work plan of the Ministry of Youth Development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR at the Presidential Villa.
“During the presentation, I outlined various initiatives of the Ministry and sought the President’s approval for other important youth-focused projects.
“I also appreciated the President for giving automatic employment to the 774 fellows of the national health programme who are mostly young people.
“As always, our esteemed father and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assured of his continuous commitment to supporting, empowering, and protecting Nigerian youth.
“I want to use this medium to assure everyone that the President is dedicated to the affairs of the youth, and we are on the right path to achieving even more success for the benefit of all.”
