Kidnappers ok Friday struck again as a farm estate owner, Mr. Olanrewaju Oyeleye was kidnapped in the early hours of Friday, on his farmland in Oba-Ile, along the Akure Airport Road, Ondo State capital.
Oyeleye was kidnapped alongside his farm manager, whose identity is yet to be confirmed.
Sources close to the victims told Newsmen that the abductors contacted Oyeleye’s family on Saturday, demanding a ransom of N100 million for their release.
Roving Reporters had recently reported that gunmen kidnapped three Students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure at Oke Oge in the Oba Ile area of Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State.
The victims who are industrial Training ,IT, students in a farm were abducted on Saturday evening while returning from a farm not far from Akure Airport.
It was gathered that Oyeleye, who had spent several years abroad, was said to have returned to Akure four years ago to invest in mechanised farming.
The Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the incident.
He said: “The kidnapping of the farmer and his manager happened in the early hours of Thursday, and we have been on it ever since.
“Our men are working tirelessly to ensure the victims are rescued from the abductors, as we are tracking their location.”
