Following the President’s approval of the establishment of the Teaching Hospital in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The community led by the Deji and paramount ruler of Akure kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi and the Chairman, of the Community Central Planning Committee for the establishment of the hospital, Dr Olufemi Oyinsan, appreciated the Minister for Health, Prof. Muhammadu Ali Pate and the Ondo State governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for their commitment towards the establishment of the hospital
At a thank-you visit to Pa Fasonranti’s home in Akure on Saturday, the community eulogised President Tinubu, describing him as a leader with foresight.
Speaking through the CCPC Chairman, Dr Olufemi Oyinsan, the community said Tinubu’s patriotism to the community and the country at large would bring the yearning and age-long goals to be the economic pacesetter and role model in Africa to fruition.
Speaking through the CCPC Chairman, Dr Olufemi Oyinsan, the community said the masterstroke for the establishment of the teaching hospital was the emergence of President Tinubu as the president of the nation and the longevity of life granted by God to Pa Fasonranti.
According to him, all efforts put together to ensure the establishment of the Teaching Hospital were not successful during the previous administrations.
His words: Indigene of Akure has been on this project for about two decades. Long before many of us even got involved. But God favoured us by putting President Tinubu in office and also preserved the life of our father, Pa Fasonranti. Here we are today to the glory of God. We thank everybody that is involved in one way or the other in the actualisation of the teaching hospital.”
The community consequently sought the support of the Federal Government on other necessary administrative and executive approvals for immediate take-off and smooth running of the new Teaching Hospital.
Reacting, the Afenifere leader, Pa Fasonranti, showered encomium on President Tinubu and also appreciated those who have been working to see that the teaching hospital comes to reality.
Fasonranti urged every son and daughter of Akure-speaking communities to express optimism that the teaching hospital would take off and run smoothly during his lifetime.
