A legal luminary, Bashorun Ifedayo Adedipe SAN has urged Muslims to embrace peaceful coexistence, unity and love.
In a statement issued on Monday Bashorun Adedipe felicitates the Muslim community over Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan fasting.
He said, “As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on this joyous occasion of Eid El-Fitri.
“This sacred festival is a time of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values of peace, justice, and compassion.
“The holy month of Ramadan has been a period of self discipline, spiritual rejuvenation, and deep devotion.
“As we celebrate Eid, let us carry forward the virtues of patience, charity, and unity that define this season.
“Now, more than ever, we must remain steadfast in upholding the principles of justice, fairness, and the rule of law, with the values that are not only enshrined in our faith, but also fundamental to a just and equitable society.
“I urge all citizens, regardless of faith, to embrace the spirit of Eid, by fostering harmony, promoting tolerance, and extending a hand of support to those in need.
“Our collective progress as a nation, depends on our ability to work together in peace and mutual respect.
“As we mark this festive occasion, may Allah (SWT) accept our prayers, fasting, and acts of kindness.
“May he bless our families, strengthen our communities, and guide our nation toward a future of prosperity and justice.”
