Your comments against Aiyedatiwa Reckless, Act of Insubordination – Aide lambasts Atikase

Allen Sowore, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Strategic Communications has called out Otito Atikase, the Ondo state representative in the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, over his comment on social media against the governor.

Atikase had on Tuesday posted a comment Facebook page with the heading “MR. GOVERNOR, CALL KAYODE AJULO TO ORDER” and also attached the picture of the state attorney general and commissioner for justice Kayode Ajulo SAN on the post.

Atikase further says in the post that “With our unwavering commitment to the development and growth of this state and the party alike, some of us will not sit idly by and allow anybody to destroy our party and government, both at the federal and state levels. I won’t say more than this for now.”

Reacting, Sowore however described Atikase’s comment as rude, reckless and act of Insubordination

According to Sowore in a statement, “When a part-time board member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) issues directives to an elected Governor— particularly the Governor of the very state he represents on the Commission— it is not only overreaching but deeply inappropriate.

“According to Section 11(1) of the NDDC Act, the Advisory Committee consists of:
(a) The Governors of the member States of the Commission.

“It is sheer recklessness and an act of unpardonable insubordination for a government official to issue warnings to the Governor, as well as the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of a state.

“Such actions undermine the principles of governance and the chain of authority.”
