Fear gripped the Ori- Ohin community of Ifon town at Ose Local Government Area in Ondo State, as Thunder Strike allegedly killed six cows.
The incident was said to have occurred on Sunday night in the community.
A video obtained by Roving Reporters and also posted by a popular blogger, Ogbeni OB Sugar on his Facebook page shows some dead cows lying on the ground.
In the video a resident is being asked on how the incident happened and he said it occurred on Sunday night.
The man in the video said “ The cows had earlier destroyed farmland in the community and it appeared the sacrifice made by the owners of the farmlands caused the thunder to strike.“

In 2019, about 36 cows belonging to some herdsmen were struck dead by lightning at the Oke-Owa hill in the agrarian community of Ijare in the Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.
The incident was astonishing with the villagers linking the development to the anger of the gods of the land.
The ‘sacred’ Oke-Owa hill is a conspicuous rocky and bushy area at the right when entering the town from Akure, the state capital.
It’s less than a kilometre from the main road leading into the town. Looking at the hill from afar, nothing exposes its seeming sacredness.
Barely a month later, lightning killed no fewer than six cows at a mountain in Oyinmo Quarters, Ikare Akoko the headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the eight cows, owned by some Fulani herdsmen, were struck dead while grazing on top of the mountain. The two Fulani herders who accompanied the cows were said to have fled the scene after the incident.
