… Inducted as Distinguished Fellow of AIPA Ghana
The Permanent Secretary of Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Dr Bayo Ilawole has been conferred with award of Doctor of Public Administration by the London Bridge Business School.
Dr Ilawole, the multiple awards winning administrator was also inducted as Distinguished fellow of Africa Institute of Public Administration, (AIPA) Ghana.The Fellowship induction was held on 17th of April, 2025.
Dr Ilawole is holder of 3 Master Degrees, 5 Ph.D, several fellows, Distinguished Fellow and Eminent Fellow of several local and international institutions.
He had supervised Many MPA ,MSc, Ph.D students and teaches Public Administration at City University ,Cambodia and Obafemi Awolowo University as a visiting lecturer.
Bayo Ilawole Ph.D, a Seasoned Administrator, Life Coach, Preacher / Pastor who hailed from the Riverine Community of Ondo State was born about 55 years ago in Lagos State, Nigeria. He attended Methodist High School, Okitipupa, finishing in 1986 and later to Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, from 1986 to 1992, ( now Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo) where he obtained both NCE and B.Ed. in 1992.
In his preparation for the task ahead as a public servant, Dr Bayo Ilawole obtained a Master’s in Public Administration from the Obafemi Awolowo University in 2000, Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Federal University of Technology (FUTA) in 2005, another Master in Agricultural Policy and Administration from the University of Ibadan in 2009, a Master of Science in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2011, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology from RCBC in 2012.
Dr Bayo Ilawole was conferred with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2014, followed by another prestigious Ph.D. in Leadership and Corporate Governance from the Institute of Leadership, Manpower, and Management Development in 2021.
Aside working in various Personnel Training Institutes, Dr Ilawole for two decades (1994 to 2014) served as Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources in different Local Governments of Ondo State before his elevation to the position of Head of Local Government Administration in the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission in 2014.
He served as Director of Training and Manpower Development from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Ilawole has traversed multiple Local Governments of the state leaving behind legacy of outstanding achievements. He was at a time the HOLGA of Odigbo local government, Ese odo local government, Ondo east local government, Ileoluji/ Okeigbo local government, Akure north local government and Akoko North East Local Government, Ikare Akoko, where he acted as the SOLAD of the Local Government before his elevation to the position of Administrative secretary Currently , he is the Permanent Secretary , Ondo State Local Government Service Commission.
Dr Bayo Ilawole is a Fellow, Institute of Industrialists and Corporate Administrators (FIICA) in 2015, Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (FICA) in 2015, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (FCAI) in 2014, and Distinguished Fellow, Institute of Leadership, Manpower, and Management Development (DFILMMD) in 2021.
Dr Bayo Ilawole is a United Nation Eminent Ambassador. An Eminent fellow of chartered institute of public Administration and Governance (CIPAG) USA and hold a honorary doctorate degree of Eminence university, Denver, Colorado. USA.
Dr Bayo Ilawole is a Distinguished Fellow of Africa institute of Public Administration, Ghana DFAI, A Certified Public Administrator and equally had Doctor of Public Administration ( honorary Causa)from London Bridge business school UK.
Dr Bayo Ilawole is an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Public Administration at Obafemi Awolowo University, ile Ife
He is married to princess Abike, Bayo-ilawole with offspring of discerning choice.
