Mrs Tinubu received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Ife and a National Certificate of Education in Botany and Zoology from the Adeyemi College of Education.
Mrs Tinubu was recently in Ondo state for her Renewed Hope Initiative Health Programme and was accompanied by some wives of other Governors at the event held at the international culture and event center Akure, the state capital.

Recounting her experience as a student at the Adeyemi College of Education over 40 years ago, the First Lady said she felt great being back in Ondo state.
Mrs Tinubu said, “It feels great to be back in Akure after quite some time. It is so because Ondo State holds a special place in my heart.
“I started cutting my teeth as a professional teacher, and also I think I went to A level. It’s been a long time. I can’t remember the name of the school… A federal government school for A level. It’s been a long time, over 40 years.
“But I remember Adeyemi College of Education very well. So it was quite a very fun time when education really had its prestige.
“Would you believe that we are just two in a room? You know, Adeyemi was a small school then, but very, very prestigious school.
“I had wonderful years growing up in Ondo town, and so ondo state owes a very special place, and it’s good to be back.”
