The legal chamber of Adeniyi Akintola has written to the management of the Okitipupa Oil Palm Company (OOPC) demanding vacation of Okeraiye farms area in Ikoya, Okitipupa LGA of Ondo State state belonging to the Konye family.
The legal practitioner in a letter signed by George Onamo Esq, and made a copy available to journalists on Saturday in Akure, appealed to the management to vacate the lands he said they were occupying illegally within the 30 days.
He revealed that the decision follows the judgement of a various courts of law on the disputed land.
The letter reads, ” We hereby, as solicitor to the KONYE FAMILY, of Okeraiye Farms Area, Ikoya, Okitipupa in Ikale L.G.A. of Ondo State, the legal and rightful owners of all that piece and parcel of land measuring approximately 2464 (Two Thousand, Four Hundred and Sixty-Four) Acres and on their behalf give you 30 (Thirty) Days’ Notice to Quit and deliver up a vacant possession of the said land, which you occupy illegally as a squatter, a tenant at will or a tenant at sufferance.
“TAKE NOTICE that failure on your part to deliver up a vacant possession of the said land, which you presently occupy at the expiration of the 30 (Thirty) Days’ will leave our clients with the option of setting up necessary legal machinery in motion in enforcement of the various courts’ judgment in Suit Number AK/32/67; Appeal Number CA/B/20/82 and SC. 136/1988 with the attendant dare consequences.

But efforts to get the reaction of the Managing Director of OOPC, Mr Taiwo Adewole is unsuccessful as of press time as calls put across to his telephone number were not answered.
