You must pay the Price for Greatness – OGSA Principal tells Students

The Principal, Oyemekun Grammar School Akure Ondo State, Mr Adeniyi Oloyede has reminded students of the school that achieving a high level of success, comes at a cost which involves sacrifice, commitment, discipline , hard work and overcoming challenges.

Mr Oloyede gave this admonition while addressing students of the school to usher in the 3rd Term of the 2024/2025 academic session after the Easter Holiday.

Addressing the students, the Principal said, “This time you must focus, you must be focused and at the same time there should be no room for procrastination.

Whatever you want to do, make sure you do it on time. When you are supposed to come to school, make sure you come to school on time. When you are supposed to be in your classes, make sure you are in your classes.

“I want to tell you that God has created each of you for a purpose and I want to tell you categorically because my Bible informed me that the purpose of God in your life is for good and not for evil and for you to be exceedingly great.

My students, before you can be great in life, you have some prices to pay. You must be committed to studies and extracurricular activities, you must show the right attitude towards your studies and be self disciplined.

Mr Oloyede also reminded the students of the need to also be obedient to their parents for them to receive blessings of God.

“We always make this song the blessing of Abraham, the blessing of Isaac and the blessing of Jacob. You will discover that this blessing transferred from one generation to the other.

It transferred from Abraham to Isaac, from Isaac to Jacob and if you want to be the generation of Abraham and you want this exceedingly great of blessings to be yours, there are certain things you need to do. One of these things, Jacob received blessings from his parents.

So when you wake up in the morning, make sure you go to your daddy’s room or your mommy’s room, prostrate, greet them, let them shower blessings upon you. You need the blessings of your parents to achieve your destiny. You need the blessings of your parents to get to a greater position in life.

And at the same time, don’t forget your teachers in the school. You equally need their blessings. So when you get to the school, obey school rules and regulations, come to the assembly on time, make sure you dress properly so you can receive the blessing of your teachers and the blessing of your VPs and the blessing of the principal.

And I want to tell you, if you receive all these blessings, you will get to the top of the ladder, in Jesus’ name.”
