The Ondo State Election Tribunal has unanimously upheld the election of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, affirming the democratic choice of the state’s electorate.
The ruling, delivered Wednesday coincided with the Governor’s 100th day in office, marking a significant milestone in his administration.
Governor Aiyedatiwa secured a decisive victory in the November 16, 2024, gubernatorial election, winning in all 18 local government areas and defeating his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), by a substantial margin.

In a related development, Dr. Charles Márìndọ̀tí Olúdàre, Convener of the Social Rehabilitation Gruppe (SRG), issued a statement on Thursday congratulating Governor Aiyedatiwa and the people of Ondo State.
