As Muslims across Nigeria join the global Ummah in celebrating Eid-ul-Adha, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has extended warm felicitations to the faithful, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
In a goodwill message signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the Ondo APC described the festival as a time for deep spiritual reflection and a reminder of the immense rewards of faith and submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
“Eid-ul-Adha symbolises utmost obedience, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. We call on all Muslim faithful to emulate this remarkable act of faith and commitment,” the statement read.
The party further encouraged Muslims to use the occasion to spread love, offer prayers for national unity, and commit to peaceful coexistence—an essential foundation for progress and economic prosperity in Nigeria.
“There is no alternative to peaceful coexistence, for therein lies the secret of development,” the statement noted, calling on Nigerians to seek the collective good of the nation.
The Ondo APC also prayed that the celebration would bring joy, strengthen bonds of love among citizens, and draw everyone closer to divine grace.
“May this Eid bring you closer to Allah’s love, fill your life with happiness, and prosper your good deeds. Eid Mubarak!”
