As Muslims across Akure North and South Federal Constituency, Ondo State, and the entire nation mark the auspicious celebration of Eid el-Kabir, House of Representatives hopeful under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honourable Tomisin Edu Falade, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah and the general public.
In her goodwill message, Hon. Falade described Eid el-Kabir as a sacred period of reflection, sacrifice, and compassion — core values that define the essence of Islam and are needed more than ever in today’s world.
“This holy festival reminds us of the importance of faith, humility, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah,” she said. “It is a time to give, to share, and to show love to our neighbours, especially the less privileged in our midst.”
She urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to use the occasion to promote peace, unity, and mutual respect — ideals she believes are vital for national cohesion and sustainable development.
While emphasizing the significance of religious tolerance, Hon. Falade called for continued interfaith understanding and harmonious coexistence among people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
“Together, with shared values and a commitment to nation-building, we can achieve lasting progress,” she added.
Hon. Falade concluded her message with a heartfelt “Barka da Sallah” to all Muslim faithful, praying for a peaceful and joyous celebration.
