Abuja – The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a strong warning to the general public over a fake recruitment letter currently circulating on social media.
In an official statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) AM Jibril, the CDCFIB confirmed that while there is Presidential approval for recruitment into the four paramilitary services under its supervision, the official recruitment process has not yet commenced.
The Board emphasized that any genuine recruitment exercise will be formally announced through national newspapers and conducted with strict adherence to fairness, transparency, and zero financial demands.
Members of the public are advised to beware of fraudsters and recruitment racketeers who exploit job seekers through fake promises and illegal fees.
CDCFIB reiterated that it has no agents or middlemen, and any attempt to pay for recruitment is both fraudulent and punishable by law.
The Board urges job seekers and the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
Stay informed. Stay safe. Do not fall victim to recruitment scams.
