The Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau (OSERB) has extended warm congratulations to Engr. Johnson Alabi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, following his nomination as a Commissioner-designate by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In a statement signed by the State Coordinator of OSERB, Engr. Stephen Bolawole, Alabi was praised as a visionary and dedicated professional whose leadership has significantly contributed to power sector reforms in Ondo State.
Engr. Bolawole highlighted Alabi’s central role in driving key energy initiatives under the Aiyedatiwa-led administration, notably the launch of the O’Datiwa Metering Scheme, which has provided affordable prepaid meters to residents and improved transparency in electricity billing.
The statement read in part:
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Engr. Johnson Alabi on his well-deserved nomination. His appointment is a recognition of his unwavering commitment, professionalism, and notable achievements in transforming the state’s energy landscape.”
“Engr. Alabi has proven to be a round peg in a round hole. Through his technical acumen and passion, he has spearheaded reforms that have expanded electricity access and promoted fairness, in line with the vision of our people’s governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.”
OSERB affirmed its continued support for the state government’s drive to build a more accountable, equitable, and consumer-focused electricity sector, in accordance with the Ondo State Electricity Power Sector Law, 2020.
