Tinubu Support Group Restructures in Ondo, Announces Fresh Appointments Across 18 LGAs

Ahead of its official state secretariat inauguration, the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT) has made a series of fresh strategic appointments aimed at solidifying its presence across Ondo State.

The group, which supports the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, unveiled coordinators for the state’s three senatorial districts, local government areas, and a list of state officers, in a move insiders describe as part of broader mobilization efforts ahead of upcoming political activities.

Senatorial Appointments

In Ondo North, Chief Olayato Aribo, CEO of Oyato Bread and a former two-time Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, was appointed the senatorial coordinator.

For the Central district, Deaconess Hon. (Mrs.) Lola Fagbemi, a seasoned administrator and former Commissioner for several portfolios including Local Government, Commerce, and Women Affairs, will coordinate GMT’s affairs.

In the South, Hon. Albert Akintoye (SOT), former council chairman and federal lawmaker, takes the lead.

State Officers Unveiled

The movement also named several political figures as state officers. Their specific portfolios will be assigned during the upcoming inauguration. Appointees include:

Rt. Hon. Fatai Olotu, former Deputy Speaker and Commissioner

Chief Bisi Ogungbemi, former Akoko North East Chairman

Comrade Pafff Lawal Kolade, APC South West Youth Leader

Dr. (Mrs.) Olubunmi Ademosu, former Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs

Hon. Yemi Olowolabi, former Commissioner for Information and Tourism

Hon. Olatunji Ifabiyi, current member, Ondo State House of Assembly

Dr. (Mrs.) Morinola Olanipekun, former SSA on MDGs

Hon. (Mrs.) Yetunde Adeyanju, ex-Water Resources Commissioner

Hon. Oluborode Olakunle

Hon. Olamide Falana, former Special Adviser on Gender

GMT also revealed the names of its 18 Local Government Coordinators as follows:

Akoko SE: Hon. Kure

Akoko SW: Hon. Gbenga Felemu

Akoko NE: Alhaji Saliu Adeyemi

Ose: Hon. Yomi Falana

Owo: Alhaji Isiaka Elegberunibon

Akure South: Hon. (Barr.) Gbenga Olaniyi (Hostwel)

Idanre: Hon. Victor Akinduro

Akure North: Hon. Rotimi Adeleye

Ifedore: Hon. (Barr.) Tobi Ogunleye, Esq.

Ondo West: Alhaji Khaleel Akinbani

Ondo East: Olamide Ifedayo

Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo: Hon. Parie

Odigbo: Hon. Oluborode Olakunle

Irele: Hon. Sola Adekugbe

Okitipupa: Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa

Ese-Odo: Dr. Tope Akoje

Ilaje: Hon. Banji Ehuwa

The GMT had earlier appointed Hon. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye as Director-General of the state chapter, Hon. Rasheed Badmus as Secretary, and Hon. Akinwumi Sowore as Legal Adviser.

According to Oyewamide Ojo, the Director of Media for GMT in Ondo, additional appointments will be revealed before the formal opening of the group’s secretariat along Oyemekun Road in Akure.

He expressed confidence that the expanded grassroots structure would help deepen support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the state.
