13-Year-Old Math Whiz from FUTA Staff School Clinches State Olympiad Gold

Paul Demilade Adewale, a JSS3 student of FUTA Staff Secondary School, has emerged as the overall winner of the 2025 Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) Olympiad Competition, Ondo State Chapter.

The brilliant teenager clinched the top spot in the Junior Category finals held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, defeating 17 other finalists drawn from five education zones across the state.

His outstanding performance has earned him the honour of representing Ondo State at the national stage of the Olympiad scheduled for August 2025.

Adewale’s journey to the top was marked by excellence right from the preliminary round, which took place on July 5, 2025.

Competing against 70 students from 32 schools across four local government areas in his zone, he distinguished himself by securing the first position.

His victory not only highlights his mathematical prowess but also brings pride to FUTA Staff School and the entire Ondo State academic community.

Stakeholders in the education sector have lauded the feat, describing Adewale as a promising young star destined for greater accomplishments.
