Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assigned portfolios to the 16 commissioners recently sworn in to serve in his cabinet.
The appointments, which come on the heels of Monday’s inauguration ceremony in Akure, reflect the governor’s renewed drive to consolidate governance and service delivery across all sectors of the state.
Below are the commissioners and their respective ministries:
Professor Igbekele Ajibefun – Ministry of Education
Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye – Infrastructure, Lands and Housing
Hon. Ayodele Akande – Water Resources and Public Sanitation
Engr. Alabi Johnson – Energy and Mineral Resources
Alhaji Amidu Takuro – Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu – Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations
Mr. Idowu Ajanaku – Information and Orientation
Dr. Seun Abosede Osamaye – Women Affairs and Social Development
Dr. Tob Loko – Environment
Mr. Olaolu Akindolire – Budget and Economic Planning
Hon. Sunday Olajide – Physical Planning and Urban Development
Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry – Youths and Sports Development
Pastor Bola Ademuwagun – Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives
Engr. Leye Akinola – Agriculture and Forestry
Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka – Health
Hon. Adesoji Afolabi – Culture and Tourism
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged the appointees to see their appointments as a call to duty and to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering excellent public service.
“Our people expect performance, not excuses,” he charged the commissioners shortly after the portfolios were made public.
The portfolios were officially released by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
