…Describes Monarch as Symbol of Peace and Progress
As the Deji of Akure Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, marks the 10th anniversary of his coronation, a prominent son of the soil, Hon. Olakunle Michael Afolabi, popularly known as Hon. Mikey, has joined numerous well-wishers to celebrate the revered monarch.
In a goodwill message made available to the press, Hon. Mikey, an Akure-born businessman and politician, described the royal father as a custodian of peace and unity, whose decade-long reign has brought stability and cultural renaissance to the Akure Kingdom.
He commended the monarch for his steadfast commitment to communal harmony, cultural preservation, and developmental initiatives that have uplifted the socio-economic profile of Akure and its environs.
“Oba Aladetoyinbo has proven to be a father to all — accessible, wise, and purposeful. His reign has not only strengthened traditional institutions but also bridged the gap between tradition and modern governance,” Hon. Mikey stated.
He emphasized the Deji’s role as a stabilizing force in times of tension and a rallying figure in periods of celebration, noting that his influence extends beyond Akure to the wider Ondo State polity.
Hon. Mikey concluded with heartfelt prayers for the monarch’s continued reign, wishing Kabiyesi many more fruitful years on the ancestral throne with good health, divine protection, and enduring wisdom.
