Says dignified commerce is key to grassroots growth

In a move aimed at revitalizing grassroots commerce and enhancing public safety, Hon. Nelson Akinsuroju, the Member representing Ileoluji/Okeigbo Constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, has commissioned newly constructed lock-up shops and solar-powered streetlights in several communities.

The rural electrification project, which spans areas including Lipanu, Laleipa, and Eyingun, is part of Akinsuroju’s broader development agenda targeted at improving infrastructure and boosting economic activities at the community level.

At the commissioning ceremony held in Okeigbo, which was attended by community leaders, market stakeholders, and residents, Akinsuroju described the initiative as a direct response to the needs of local traders.

“These shops are not just buildings — they are platforms for income generation, family support, and community stability. Our people deserve to trade in dignity,” he said.

He further reiterated his commitment to people-oriented projects, assuring constituents of more developmental strides that will uplift their standard of living.

Beneficiaries and community stakeholders lauded the initiative, hailing Akinsuroju as a representative who not only listens but delivers on his promises.
