The Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom chapter, Dr. Jasper Adeleye, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Professor Nentanwe Yilwanta on his emergence as the National Chairman of the party.
In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, Dr. Adeleye described Yilwanta as a “brother, friend, and dependable ally,” expressing confidence in his leadership capacity and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the progressive movement.
“I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to Almighty God for the elevation of my dear friend, Prof. Nentanwe Yilwanta, to the position of APC National Chairman,” Adeleye stated. “This is indeed the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes.”
Dr. Adeleye praised Prof. Yilwanta’s brief but impactful tenure as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, particularly noting his role in digitalizing the national social register to better serve vulnerable Nigerians.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reposing confidence in Yilwanta’s leadership, describing his appointment as a strategic step towards consolidating party unity and sustaining gains under the current administration.
Commenting on the recent extension of the tenures of party executives from the ward to the state level, Adeleye described the move as a well-thought-out political strategy designed to accommodate new entrants into the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Adeleye, who hails from Ondo State, emphasized that the new leadership under Prof. Yilwanta signals a new chapter of cohesion, strength, and inclusiveness within the APC.
