Adeboro Onibalusi from Ogbagi Akoko has fired back at former Ondo State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, describing his recent comments against the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), as “pathetic, baseless and shameful.”
According to Onibalusi, Oluboyo’s political career has been “uninspiring and inconsequential,” arguing that his attempt to pit Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa against the Minister is not only mischievous but also inimical to the unity and progress of Ondo State.
“Oluboyo’s failed stint as a deputy governor foiled by a court judgement remains a bitter pill he has refused to swallow. A bitter man will always spew bitterness,” Onibalusi said.
He condemned the “unprovoked attack” on Dr. Tunji-Ojo, describing it as an effort that would not stand, given the Minister’s rising profile and landmark contributions to the APC and Ondo State.
“What has Bunmi Tunji-Ojo done to deserve such vitriol? His pedigree and achievements far outshine the perfidious antics of the likes of Oluboyo. Any attempt to set the governor against the minister is odious and uncharitable,” Onibalusi added.
He maintained that the cordial relationship between Governor Aiyedatiwa and Dr. Tunji-Ojo was key to the prosperity of the Sunshine State, warning that no amount of “smelly pottage” could justify Oluboyo’s attempt to cause division.
Onibalusi concluded with a stern caution: “Any war against any son or daughter of Akoko is a direct war on Akokoland. A word is enough for the wise.”
