The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, has handed over the reins of the commission to Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu as Acting National Chairman.
Yakubu made the announcement on Tuesday during an ongoing meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners at the INEC headquarters in Abuja.
Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu, the oldest serving National Commissioner of the electoral body, will now oversee the commission’s affairs in acting capacity.
