Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has appointed Miss Linda Ene Agada as his Special Adviser on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Microfinance, in a bid to strengthen the state’s economic base and support small businesses.

Agada, a seasoned entrepreneur and advocate for women’s economic inclusion, brings extensive experience in business development, financial management, and entrepreneurship training.

Her appointment, according to stakeholders, underscores the administration’s resolve to drive financial inclusion, support grassroots enterprises, and foster sustainable economic growth.

Widely respected for her work in youth and women empowerment, Agada has played a key role in capacity-building and mentorship programs across the North Central region.

Industry players describe her as a visionary leader with a deep grasp of the challenges confronting small-scale businesses.

Speaking after the announcement, Agada expressed gratitude to Governor Alia for the confidence reposed in her.

She pledged to deliver on the administration’s vision of a vibrant, inclusive, and self-reliant economy.

“This appointment is a call to service. I am committed to ensuring MSMEs in Benue State gain access to finance, mentorship, and markets to thrive.

We will strengthen microfinance systems and promote entrepreneurship as a driver of development,” she said.

With her entry into the Governor’s team, new initiatives are expected to be rolled out to expand access to microcredit, build stronger partnerships with financial institutions, and empower local entrepreneurs for productivity and job creation.

Observers say Agada’s appointment marks a significant milestone in the Alia administration’s plan to harness the potential of MSMEs as engines of growth and social transformation in Benue State.
