The Ondo State Police Command has arrested one Oyewole Adamolekun, a resident of Taye Village, Lafa 2, Ajue Area, for allegedly engaging in an incestuous sexual relationship with his 15-year-old biological daughter, which resulted in pregnancy.
The disturbing case came to light on October 8, 2025, after a community member, Mr. Julius Olusola, reported the incident at the Enu-Owa Divisional Police Headquarters, Ondo.
The report alleged that the suspect had been sexually assaulting his daughter since she was three years old.
Acting on the complaint, police officers swiftly arrested the suspect, while the victim was taken to a medical facility where an ultrasound confirmed she was 19 weeks and two days pregnant.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and is currently in custody. The case has been transferred to the Command’s Gender Desk for detailed investigation and prompt prosecution.
Reacting to the shocking development, the Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, described the act as “criminal, immoral, and deeply repugnant.”
He assured that the command would pursue the case with urgency and professionalism to ensure that justice is swiftly served.
“This act is not only against the law but also against humanity and morality,” CP Lawal said. “The Ondo State Police Command will not tolerate any form of sexual abuse, especially against minors. The suspect will face the full wrath of the law.”
He urged residents to report any cases of abuse or suspicious conduct to the nearest police station, reiterating the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives, dignity, and rights of all residents in the state.
