The Coalition of All Civil Society Organisations in Ondo State (CACSOD) has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his developmental strides under the E.A.S.E. Agenda, describing it as a transformative framework addressing key socio-economic challenges and promoting inclusive growth across the state.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Alo Martins on Thursday, the coalition emphasized that its stance was not politically motivated but rooted in its commitment to good governance, accountability, and democratic development.
Martins stated that while CACSOD acknowledges the progress recorded under the current administration, it is equally concerned about the need to strengthen democratic institutions to ensure that governance remains transparent, accountable, and people-centered.
“The essence of democracy lies not only in the delivery of development but also in maintaining institutional safeguards that ensure power is exercised responsibly,” the statement read in part.
He added that CACSOD’s recent comments were not intended as criticism of any political leader or party but as a call for balance and institutional health in the democratic process.
“We urge the All Progressives Congress (APC) and all political actors to view our intervention as a democratic reminder, not an attack,” Martins said.
The coalition reaffirmed its readiness to continue supporting Governor Aiyedatiwa’s E.A.S.E. development blueprint and to collaborate with relevant institutions in promoting transparency, equity, and sustainable development across Ondo State.
