Legal luminary and public affairs advocate, Barrister Sesan Oriola, has congratulated Engr. Razaq Obe, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, Mr. Mayowa Adewolu, and Comrade Gani Mohammed on their appointment by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa into key positions in the Ondo State Government.
Governor Aiyedatiwa had on Saturday announced a new wave of appointments comprising Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and other aides to reinforce his administration’s commitment to effective governance and the full realization of the OUR EASE development agenda.
In a congratulatory message issued in Akure, Barrister Oriola described the appointments as “a reflection of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s discernment, fairness, and recognition of tested individuals who have consistently demonstrated loyalty, competence, and patriotism.”
“These appointments are not just political gestures; they are a solemn call to duty,” Oriola said. “Governor Aiyedatiwa has shown trust in your capabilities — it is now your responsibility to justify that confidence with transparent, result-driven service.”
He praised Engr. Razaq Obe, the newly appointed Director General, Project Performance and Implementation Monitoring Unit ( PPIMU), as “a technocrat whose professionalism and integrity are assets to good governance.” Oriola urged him to ensure openness, fiscal prudence, and efficiency in state projects.
For Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, appointed Special Adviser on Legislative and Party Affairs, Oriola highlighted his legislative experience and political maturity.
“Babatunde understands both governance and the grassroots. His insight will strengthen harmony between the executive, legislature, and the ruling party,” he said.
Oriola also commended Mr. Mayowa Adewolu, now Senior Special Assistant on Mobilisation, describing him as “a dynamic youth with passion for people and progress.”
He charged him to channel his energy into bridging the gap between government and the governed, saying, “Mobilisation should be about inspiring citizens to believe in government again.”
Turning to Comrade Gani Mohammed, newly appointed Special Adviser on Special Duties and Strategy, Oriola applauded his reputation as “a fearless advocate and seasoned strategist.”
He noted that Gani’s wealth of experience in activism and public engagement would be invaluable to the administration’s reform agenda. “Your appointment speaks to the power of consistency and clarity of purpose — use your voice to unite, not divide,” Oriola advised.
“In leadership, integrity remains the highest credential,” Oriola added. “Lead with humility, communicate with clarity, and serve with compassion. Remember — public office is not a privilege to enjoy but a responsibility to honour.”
Concluding, Barrister Sesan Oriola called on all newly appointed aides to see their roles as platforms to impact lives and strengthen public trust in governance. “The Aiyedatiwa administration is writing a new chapter in Ondo State’s history. Play your part well — posterity will remember your contribution,” he said.
