The Orungberuwa of Erinje in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Oladele Fredrick Akinmoye, Ebiekuraju IV, has returned from his annual spiritual pilgrimage to the Erinje ancestral home of Aluma with prayers for national and state leaders.
The monarch, accompanied by his Dosuns (High Chiefs), departed for Aluma on November 5 and arrived back on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was received at 10:30 a.m. by a jubilant crowd at Obonde Beach, Erinje.
Addressing the gathering, Oba Akinmoye said the pilgrimage was dedicated to intensive prayers for the peace and progress of Erinje, as well as the wellbeing of Nigeria.
He said they specifically prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, asking God to grant him good health, strength and wisdom to steer the nation towards greatness.
The traditional ruler also commended Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his welfarist programmes and prayed for divine support to enable him to do more for the state.
He expressed appreciation to the governor for including Erinje in the ongoing Community Township Road Project, praying for its smooth execution and timely completion.
Oba Akinmoye further appealed to both the state and local governments to prioritise Erinje in the provision of critical infrastructure, including electricity extension to new settlements, erosion control measures, township roads, and empowerment programmes for youths and women.
He prayed for all traditional rulers across Ondo State, wishing them long, peaceful and impactful reigns.
The monarch also lauded the Erinje Community Development Association (ECDA) and its Board of Trustees for their unwavering commitment to the town’s progress.
He prayed for the continued prosperity of the sons and daughters of Erinje, urging them to keep contributing to the growth of their community.
Oba Akinmoye thanked God for the successful celebration of the 2025 edition of the Aluma Festival.
