Ondo Youths Launch 2027 Campaign Group, Pledge Landslide Victory for Tinubu

by Roving

A broad coalition of youth organisations in Ondo State has announced the formation of a new political mobilisation platform aimed at delivering sweeping support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid.

The group, known as the Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT), comprises clusters of young professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and community-based youth bodies across the state.

Its coordinators say the movement was created to energise young voters and champion the president’s reform agenda ahead of the next general elections.

Speaking with journalists on Monday, the Director-General of OYAT, Thalis Olonite Apalowo, declared that youths in the state remain firmly aligned with President Tinubu, whom he credited with “setting Nigeria on the path to sustainable growth through bold reforms.”

Apalowo highlighted the removal of fuel subsidies, liberalisation of the foreign exchange market, and the newly activated student loan scheme as critical interventions that have “begun expanding opportunities for young Nigerians.”

According to him, more youths in Ondo State are now venturing into small and medium-scale enterprises because of a friendlier business environment.

“The achievements are numerous, and the best way to solidify this progress is to return President Tinubu to office in 2027,” he said.

He vowed that the group would deploy its full mobilisation network, organisational strength, grassroots structures, and communication systems to secure an overwhelming victory for the president in the state.

OYAT enjoys the support of the Minister of Interior, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, an Ondo State indigene widely regarded as one of the strongest promoters of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Apalowo praised the minister’s “transformative record” in office, including the clearance of more than 200,000 passport backlogs, rollout of e-gates at airports, launch of a new Data Control Centre, and other sweeping reforms across agencies under the ministry.

As part of its engagement roadmap, OYAT plans to host policy forums, statewide youth dialogues, community development initiatives, and reform-focused summits designed to deepen governance conversations among young residents of the state.
