An Akure Community youth leader, Oluwaseun Oladapo, popularly known as Choko Milo, has debunked online reports linking him to the fatal attack on a police inspector in Akure.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Oladapo described the allegations circulating on social media as completely false and malicious.
He explained that far from being involved in the attack, he was one of the individuals who mobilised efforts to identify and track down those behind the incident.
According to him, he led a team that traced the actual suspects and ensured they were handed over to the police at B-Division, Oke-Aro, in Ondo State.
“It is painful that while we are working with security operatives to ensure justice, false narratives are being circulated to drag my name into an issue I helped resolve,” he said.
Oladapo expressed his commitment to peace and public safety, adding that he would continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies to ensure the matter is thoroughly investigated.
He urged the public to disregard what he described as “fake reports,” insisting that “truth will always stand.”
