A new women-focused non-governmental organisation, the Emerald Rose Women Foundation, has been formally launched in Ondo State, promising to empower young women and expand their opportunities for growth, confidence and self-fulfilment.
The foundation, unveiled last week Friday (28 November 2025), is positioned to confront the social, economic and psychological barriers that prevent young women from attaining their full potential.
According to the organisers, the Foundation is built on five pillars of empowerment, focusing on:
Training and equipping young women with practical skills and knowledge;
Offering hope, support and guidance to the helpless and vulnerable;
Amplifying the voices of the voiceless and promoting self-expression;
Eradicating societal stigma while upholding dignity and confidence;
Inspiring young women to dream big and pursue their goals without fear.

Through these initiatives, the Foundation aims to impact over 20,000 young women, equipping them with tools to thrive socially, economically and emotionally.
A major highlight of the event was the official presentation of a new book authored by the founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ms Temitope Iwagun Faith, titled “Reputable Woman and Her Lifestyle: A Woman’s Guide to Discovering Her Worth and Achieving Success.”
The publication, which serves as a mentorship guide, will be distributed free of charge to young ladies and girls as part of the Foundation’s empowerment outreach.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Iwagun said the initiative was driven by a deep passion to nurture a generation of confident, purpose-driven women capable of influencing society positively.
Stakeholders at the event described the Foundation as a timely intervention and commended its commitment to championing girl-child development, promoting gender equality and strengthening women’s advancement efforts across Nigeria.
