E-Registration Key to APC’s Future, Ondo Elders Tell Members

The Ondo State chapter of the APC Mandate Elders Forum has called on party members across the state to actively participate in the ongoing electronic registration (e-registration) exercise of the All Progressives Congress.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the forum urged APC members in the 18 local government areas of Ondo State to embrace the exercise, describing it as a critical step toward strengthening the party’s structure and electoral readiness.

According to the forum, the e-registration exercise goes beyond routine party administration, noting that it is a strategic move aimed at repositioning the APC for unity, internal cohesion and sustained electoral success.

The elders emphasised that a credible, verifiable and comprehensive membership register is essential for any serious political organisation, adding that the APC is committed to setting the standard in this regard.

The forum appealed to party leaders, grassroots members and supporters, both old and new, to see the exercise as a civic and political responsibility, stressing that participation reflects loyalty to the party and commitment to its progressive ideals.

It also charged ward, local government and state party structures to intensify mobilisation to ensure that no member is excluded, while encouraging unregistered supporters to take advantage of the exercise to formally join the party.

Reaffirming its support for the APC-led Federal Government, the forum said unity and active participation were vital to consolidating the gains of the party and sustaining President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The statement was jointly signed by the Chairman of the forum, Chief Erastus Akeju; the Secretary, Hon. Ebenezer Alabi; and the Facilitator, Hon. Demola Ijabiyi.
