••• Promises Inclusive, Grassroots-Focused Representation
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and community advocate, Chief Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare (OGO), has officially declared his intention to contest the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in 2027.
Ogundare, who made the declaration on Thursday, said his decision followed extensive consultations across wards and communities in Owo and Ose local government areas.
According to him, the clamour for a more accessible, responsive, and inclusive representation inspired his resolve to join the race.
He noted that market women, youths, traditional rulers, artisans, professionals, and party stakeholders had consistently expressed the need for new leadership capable of amplifying the constituency’s voice at the national level.
“This aspiration is not driven by personal ambition. It is a direct response to the calls of our people,” he stated.
“Owo/Ose deserves a representative who listens, understands grassroots realities, and faithfully translates the people’s needs into legislation, advocacy, and developmental outcomes.”
Ogundare pledged to pursue stronger federal presence in the constituency, prioritise empowerment for youths and women, and work to improve infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities.
He emphasised that the constituency deserved more than “distant representation,” adding that he would be accessible, transparent, and committed to community-driven leadership if elected.
“With the backing of our party and the support of our people, I am offering myself to serve with integrity and dedication,” he declared.
The APC aspirant assured that his campaign would be anchored on consultation, unity, and purposeful engagement, urging stakeholders to join hands to reposition the constituency for progress and national relevance.
