They Used Propaganda to Remove Me in 2023 — Adefisoye

by Roving

A former member of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as Small Alhaji, has alleged that he lost his 2023 re-election bid due to what he described as “coordinated propaganda” deployed against him by political rivals.

Adefisoye, who represented Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency of Ondo State between 2019 and 2023, made the remarks in a fresh statement posted on his social media page on Thursday.

“Una know say na propaganda dem run against me in 2023,” he wrote. “I diligently delivered for the federal constituency.

“But wetin really happen for that 2023 sef? People just dey lie against me anyhow. Thank God say eyes don open now.”

The former lawmaker, who served as Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Army, defended his performance in office, insisting he exceeded expectations.

According to him, “Deputy wey run Army Committee as if him be Chairman — na capacity, no be noise.”

Adefisoye added that despite negative narratives spread against him during the 2023 campaign, his focus had always been on service and not political drama.

He said, “Alhaji this, Alhaji that for that 2023. Meanwhile, na omo olomo wey just dey do him thing jeje.”

Adefisoye was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2019 and served one term before losing to Hon. Festus Akingbaso of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election.

Akingbaso has now joined the APC.

The former federal lawmaker declared that his return to politics would be stronger, noting that he now understood the tactics used against him.

“This time around, it will be massive,” he wrote, hinting at a comeback bid ahead of the next electoral cycle.
