The Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Mr. Jasper Adeleye, has congratulated the Ondo State Government and people of the state on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the state’s creation, commending the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In a statement on Thursday, Adeleye described the golden jubilee celebration as a moment filled with nostalgia and joy, noting that the anniversary rekindled childhood memories and the excitement experienced by earlier generations following the creation of the state in 1976.
The Idanre-born politician paid tribute to the founding fathers of Ondo State and successive governors for their sacrifices and contributions toward laying the foundation for the state’s development over the past five decades.
Adeleye also praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for what he described as his positive impact on the lives of residents, particularly in driving sustainable development across the state.
“I would like to commend Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for passionately pursuing the sustainable development of Ondo State. His consistency and sacrifices will soon make the Ondo Deep Seaport a reality,” he said.
“This project will significantly boost the state’s economy through job creation, increased revenue, tax payments and other multiplier effects.”
He further urged citizens of the state to continue to support the current administration as well as President Bola Tinubu, in order to ensure the successful implementation of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
