Joshua Babatunde Aiyenuro, popularly known as T-Jos Signature, has etched Nigeria’s name in the Guinness World Records after successfully clinching the title for the Longest Professional Barbing Marathon.
The historic feat was officially confirmed on February 2, 2026, following a gruelling, multi-day barbing exercise held in Nasarawa State, where Aiyenuro cut hair continuously for several days under strict Guinness World Records supervision and documentation.
Aiyenuro, an indigene of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, was born and raised in Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.
His rise to global recognition is a powerful story of perseverance and self-discipline, having consciously rejected negative street influences to embrace skill acquisition and hard work.

Barbering became his pathway out of adversity. Through years of relentless practice and dedication, he steadily built a reputation within the industry, a journey that culminated in his appointment as official barber to Nigeria’s Super Eagles, bringing his craft into national limelight.
Driven by a passion to inspire young people and elevate barbering as a globally respected profession, Aiyenuro first attempted the Guinness World Record in June 2025, cutting hair for 154 hours. The attempt was later disqualified due to technical and documentation issues.
The setback was compounded by the tragic loss of his mother, a major source of encouragement in his life, nearly forcing him to abandon the dream.
Undeterred, Aiyenuro regrouped, studied the Guinness World Records guidelines in detail, restructured his support team and prepared rigorously for a second attempt, dedicating the mission to his late mother and Nigerian youths facing hardship.
On January 29, 2026, he began the successful marathon, enduring intense physical exhaustion and emotional strain.
His resilience paid off on February 2, 2026, when Guinness World Records officially confirmed him as the new record holder, triggering celebrations across Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking after the achievement, Aiyenuro said the record was not just a personal triumph but a statement aimed at repositioning barbering as a dignified, empowering and globally relevant profession.
From the streets of Surulere to the world stage, Aiyenuro’s journey stands as a stirring testament to resilience, purpose and the transformative power of skilled craftsmanship.
