The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summoned the leadership of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) Wednesday at 11:00 AM, in what sources say is linked to ongoing investigations into alleged fund mismanagement within the Commission.

The invitation comes amid claims that funds were irregularly transferred from personal accounts, raising questions over accountability and governance at the intervention agency.

An official within the CCB told Roving Reporters that the summoning of OSOPADEC’s Chairman and its Secretary, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole is connected to the probe into missing funds and disputed transactions.

“It is not a secret,” the source said, adding that the process is part of standard investigative procedures.

The Commissioner for Education, Professor Ajibefun, is also expected at the Bureau by 1:00 PM, though details surrounding his invitation remain unclear. Sources suggest it may relate to his role on UNIMED board, but the exact reasons will be clarified upon his appearance.

The probe gains additional public interest as the OSOPADEC Secretary, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole, recently appointed Permanent Secretary by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is believed to be central to the allegations.

Observers note that the Secretary’s stewardship of the Commission’s accounts has been at the heart of claims that led to the CCB’s intervention.

The development underscores growing scrutiny over financial management and internal governance within OSOPADEC, an agency tasked with addressing socio-economic challenges in the state’s oil-producing communities.
