The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ODSAA) has condemned the alleged unruly conduct of a popular pastor in the state, Mr. John Kollyns, during a recent enforcement operation against illegal signage structures.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the Agency said its officials were carrying out a lawful exercise in line with the enabling laws of Ondo State when the incident occurred.
According to the Agency, the pastor allegedly confronted and harassed government officers while they were performing their statutory duties.
“Any attempt to obstruct, intimidate, or harass government personnel in the discharge of their lawful duties is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” the statement read.
ODSAA further disclosed that video footage of the incident has been preserved and forwarded to the appropriate authorities for investigation and possible legal action.
While the pastor has yet to publicly respond to the allegations as of press time, the development has sparked conversations in parts of the state, given his influence and followership.
The Agency reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, due process, and orderliness in its enforcement activities, urging members of the public to cooperate with officials and seek redress through lawful channels where necessary.
