Two senior media aides in the administration of Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, have resigned their appointments within 48 hours, raising concerns about internal discontent within the government’s media unit.
Pastor Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila stepped down as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Multimedia to the Governor, while Mr. Olugbenga Abire resigned his position as Special Assistant (SA) on Media.
Although official reasons for their resignations were not immediately disclosed, unconfirmed reports indicate that more media aides may be preparing to quit over alleged poor treatment and inadequate funding.
Sources within the Governor’s media circle told Roving Reporters that several prominent members of the team are considering tendering their resignation letters in the coming days.
There are also claims from insiders that the administration has been overtaken by a powerful cabal allegedly controlling the state’s finances, an allegation yet to receive official response.
Efforts to obtain comments from government officials were ongoing as of press time.
Further details are expected.
