The Nigeria Police Officers’ Mess, Ondo State Command, has inaugurated a new executive committee to oversee the affairs of the body, with Hon. Olaniyi Ogungbuji appointed as Caretaker Chairman.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess in Akure, where the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration), DCP O.O. Kayode, formally presented the new executives.
In his remarks, DCP Kayode charged the committee members to eschew arrogance, power tussles and vindictiveness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He emphasised that the police remain friends of the public and urged the new leadership to demonstrate commitment and dedication in order to strengthen the relationship between the Force and the community.
Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, Ogungbuji described his appointment as a privilege and a call to selfless service.
“This is a call to selfless service, and I assure you that I will not disappoint,” he said.

He pledged to reposition the Mess and move it to greater heights during his tenure.
