Hon. Barr. Fola Olasehinde-Vicente has resigned from her position as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to the Governor of Ondo State.

Olasehinde-Vicente, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly (ODHA), announced her resignation in a letter dated February 27, 2026, and addressed to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

In the letter, she stated that she was stepping down from her appointment with “profound respect and a great sense of responsibility.”

She expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to serve in his administration, noting that her role allowed her to contribute to the welfare and engagement of Ondo State indigenes in the diaspora.

The former lawmaker reaffirmed her commitment to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), describing herself as the first-ever elected female member of the Ondo State House of Assembly under the party.

She pledged to remain a loyal and dedicated member of the APC.

Olasehinde-Vicente explained that her decision was not taken lightly but had become necessary to enable her focus on the next phase of her political and professional career.

Her resignation marks another exit from Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, though no official statement has been issued regarding her replacement as of press time.
