The Nigeria Police on Tuesday arraigned traditional ruler, Olorile of Orile Ifo in Ogun State, Oba Semiu Ogunjobi for allegedly assaulting a 73-year-old man, identified as Chief Abraham Areola.
The traditional Ruler was arraigned on three counts of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely.
The Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi Muyiwa Adejobi stated this in a statement posted on his official X platform.
He said, “The Kabiyesi Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who assaulted one elderly man in a viral video, in Ifo Ogun State, has been charged to court today 4th February, 2025, on three-count charge of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely.
“He was granted bail while the case was adjourned to 06/03/2025.
“The police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession.“
