Says “My Husband is Sick in Detention”
Seeks Ayedatiwa’s Intervention
The wife of an officer of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Mrs Remilekun Olaiya has raised alarm over what she described as continued detention of her husband in the corps custody.
She is seeking the intervention of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the prompt release of her husband.
Roving Reporters gathered that the husband, Mr Ayodele Olaiya ,an assistant commander in area 2 with Amotekun Corps had been in detention for more than two months over an alleged “official matters.”
Speaking with newsmen in Akure, Mrs Olaiya disclosed that the family had been in despair having been denied access to the officer since he was locked up.
She explained that all efforts to appeal to the Amotekun Commander were not successful.
Mrs Olaiya said, her family and that of Chief Adeleye attended the same church and she had sent people in the church to him for her sick husband to be released but All has not yielded any results.
The wife appealed for urgent release of the 63 year old husband for quick medical attention claiming he suffers from a terminal ailment.
Reacting to this , the commander of Amotekun Corps , Chief Adetunji Adeleye said the case was an internal security matter undergoing investigation and would be made public soon in accordance with the law setting up Amotekun Corps.
