The recent verdict of the Ondo State Election Petition Tribunal has been met with celebration across the All Progressives Congress (APC) as it upheld the election of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami.

Prominent APC chieftain and industrialist, Chief (Dr.) Alex Oluremi Ajipe, has lauded the ruling, describing it as a resounding endorsement of the people’s will and a critical step forward for democracy in the state.

“This judgment is a victory for all well-meaning citizens of Ondo State. It affirms the popular mandate freely given to Governor Aiyedatiwa and allows his administration to stay focused on delivering real development,” Ajipe said in a statement released by his media office.

The Tribunal dismissed five separate petitions challenging the election, including that of PDP candidate Agboola Ajayi, citing a lack of merit in the arguments presented.

Chief Ajipe highlighted that the verdict comes at a significant time—just as Governor Aiyedatiwa marks 100 days in office, with early signs of impactful governance and people-oriented policies.

“With this distraction now behind us, the Governor can redouble his efforts in delivering milestone projects and tangible dividends of democracy to our people,” he added.

Reaffirming the support of party stakeholders, Ajipe expressed full confidence in the Governor’s leadership, noting that the administration’s OUR EASE agenda will set a new benchmark for inclusive governance and sustainable progress in Ondo State.

The APC stalwart concluded by calling on all residents to rally behind the Aiyedatiwa administration as it charts a path toward a stronger and more prosperous Ondo State.
