The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba (Barr.) Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula, Arulewolasi III, has congratulated the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, on the 10th anniversary of his coronation, while calling for deeper unity and inclusive leadership among traditional rulers in Akure-speaking communities.
In a goodwill message released from the Isinkan Palace, Oba Olofin-Adimula described the decade-long reign of the Deji as a remarkable journey marked by resilience, cultural preservation, and a strong commitment to the progress of the Akure Division.
The Iralepo commended Oba Aladetoyinbo for his leadership in navigating both peaceful and turbulent times, and for promoting the well-being of the people and safeguarding Akure’s rich cultural heritage.
“Your reign has reflected a deep understanding of Akure people’s values and aspirations. You have demonstrated leadership in times of calm and challenges alike,” he stated.
However, the Iralepo used the opportunity to advocate for more inclusive governance within the traditional council structure, urging that all royal stools in Akure-speaking areas be consulted and actively involved in decisions that shape the region’s future.
“Our strength lies in unity,” Oba Arulewolasi emphasized. “It is my humble appeal that the next chapter of your reign will be marked by greater inclusiveness, ensuring that all royal stools are meaningfully carried along in consultations and collective decisions.”
He further noted that synergy among traditional rulers would strengthen cultural identity and send a strong message of unity to the youth and other stakeholders across Ondo State.
The Iralepo concluded by praying for divine wisdom, long life, and continued good health for the Deji, reaffirming the shared responsibility of traditional leaders to uphold peace, heritage, and prosperity.
