The management of Crest FM has extended its condolences to Fresh FM Nigeria following the inferno that gutted its Ibadan headquarters on Friday, August 15, 2025.

In a statement signed by Adeolu Gboyega, Chief Operating Officer of Cresthills Media Group Ltd, the management and staff of Crest FM described the fire incident that destroyed Fresh 105.9 FM and Blast 98.3 FM studios as a devastating blow to the media industry.

The condolence message noted that the incident, which came at a time Fresh FM was preparing for its 10th anniversary celebrations, has sent shockwaves across the broadcasting community.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Fresh FM broadcast team during this challenging period. We commend the bravery and professionalism of the firefighters who swiftly responded to the emergency, mitigating further damage,” the statement read.

Gboyega added that Crest FM remains committed to supporting its fellow media houses, wishing Fresh FM strength and resilience to overcome the setback and bounce back stronger.

Fresh FM, founded by music icon Dr. Yinka Ayefele, confirmed that its studios, newsroom, and transmitter rooms were completely razed by the inferno, with the cause of the fire still under investigation.
