An elderly woman, Mrs. Bademosi, aged over 80, has accused her son’s employer, Mr. Rufus Olafusi, of betrayal following the sudden and mysterious death of her son, Isaiah Bademosi, inside the employer’s home in Ile Oluji, Ondo State.

The octogenarian mother, weeping uncontrollably as she spoke in a viral video, said her late son had been deeply loyal to Olafusi, a frequent traveler who often summoned Isaiah to stay with him whenever he returned from abroad.

“My son has been the one picking him from the airport, helping him acquire farmlands and taking care of his property. I didn’t know anything till he killed my son.

He stripped me naked by killing my son without any explanation. That’s how he wasted my son. They both had been living, dining and winning together. Nigerians should help me get justice,” she lamented.

Relatives explained that it was routine for Isaiah to sleep in Olafusi’s house whenever he returned from his trips. His younger sister, Rachel, recalled her final conversation with him on the night of the tragedy.

She said he borrowed her phone since his was faulty, and at 10:16 p.m. he called her with his boss’s number to request a password. That was the last time she heard from him alive.

By the following morning, Rachel said she was informed of his death. On arriving at Olafusi’s house, she alleged she saw blood through the bedroom window.

She further claimed that authorities moved her brother’s body to a mortuary without informing his wife or immediate family.

The incident sparked outrage in Ile Oluji as family members and residents staged a protest on Sunday, chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards demanding justice.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Police Command has confirmed that a suspect is in custody. Police Public Relations Officer, Olushola Ayanlade, said investigation is ongoing, assuring that “no stone will be left unturned in unraveling the mystery surrounding his death.”
