Agadagba Obon, Ondo State — The Arogbo Ijaw Youths Stakeholders Forum has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for a second term in office, pledging total support for the continuation of his Renewed Hope Agenda.
The endorsement came at the maiden meeting of the Forum held on Thursday, August 13, 2025, at the Ondo State office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) in Agadagba Obon, Ese-Odo Local Government Area.
Commendation for Tompolo
The Forum praised High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, for his pan-Niger Delta leadership and efforts in mainstreaming Ijaw Nation into national politics.
Stakeholders noted that his influence has provided clear direction and created opportunities for the Ijaw people.
Tinubu’s Support for Niger Delta Peace
The youths further appreciated President Tinubu for sustaining the services of Tantita Security Ltd, a move they said has helped increase crude oil output, strengthen energy security, and improve Nigeria’s economy.
They expressed their “voice of commendation and support” for Tantita’s operations.
Vote of Confidence on Otuaro
Forum participants also applauded Mr President for appointing Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
They described him as “a round peg in a round hole” who has effectively sustained peace in the Niger Delta. A vote of confidence was passed on his leadership.
Recognition of Kekemeke’s Role
Stakeholders highlighted the appointment of Dr. D.I. Kekemeke as Chairman of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) Governing Board, noting his dual role as APC National Vice Chairman (Southwest).
They described his elevation as a major recognition of Arogbo Ijaw’s contributions to national politics.
Aiyedatiwa Appreciated
The Forum expressed gratitude to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for appointing two Arogbo Ijaw sons—Dr. Tob Loko as Commissioner for Environment, and Hon. Lawrence Tibiebi Steven as OSOPADEC Commissioner—into strategic positions in his administration.
Sustaining Political Gains
The meeting concluded with appreciation to the Ilaje and Ijaw Apoi people for supporting Rt. Hon. Donald Kimikanboh Ojogo’s election to the House of Representatives, making him the first Arogbo Ijaw indigene to represent Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency.
The Forum pledged to deepen cooperation with neighbours for peace and development.
