The wife of the Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what she described as his “visionary and people-centered leadership,” which she said is driving development across the 18 local government areas of the state.
Speaking in Akure on Tuesday, the First Lady said the administration’s achievements were evident in education, healthcare, infrastructure, women empowerment, and security.
She particularly lauded her husband’s support for women in leadership and entrepreneurship, saying his government had created opportunities for female self-reliance and economic participation.
“Since assuming office, Mr. Governor has placed the welfare of the people at the core of his administration through the ‘OUR EASE’ Policy Thrust. There is no gainsaying the fact that we have witnessed bold and transformative strides across Ondo State in various areas of development,” Mrs. Aiyedatiwa stated.
According to her, scholarships, bursaries, school renovations, and teacher recruitment have opened access to education for thousands of children, while road rehabilitation and new infrastructure projects are improving connectivity and commerce.
The governor’s wife further said the government has continued to invest in healthcare by building new facilities, upgrading existing ones, and providing maternal and child health interventions.
On youth and women empowerment, she noted that more vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and access to credit facilities are being promoted to tackle unemployment and boost livelihoods.
She also pointed out that the administration had strengthened the Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps) and deepened collaboration with other security agencies to ensure peace and prosperity.
